After graduating from University I am hoping to travel to all kinds of different gaming and development events to be able to widen my views further on the industry alongside making connections with different developers.

In addition to that, I will be applying to all kinds of game development teams that I thoroughly enjoy the work of as well as, potentially even applying and meeting indie developers as I also enjoy indie games as they are opportunities to also get not only more experience but to be able to connect with other developers that are in other indie development teams and even bigger development teams. Although, if I were able to take the opportunity I would like to create an indie development team myself and recruit others to be able to come together and come up with new ideas for games to release to the public.

However, I am mostly interested in working with a games development team to do 3D modelling and animation. So, if I were to apply anywhere I would apply for a Junior artist placement with Ubisoft as I would have the skills required to be able to not know work there but, to be able to widen my experience and knowledge on too.

Hi,

My name is Mitchel and I am a student studying Computer Games Technology at the University of Portsmouth. I am an aspiring games developer and I am currently developing my knowledge and skills within programs such as Visual Studio and 3DSMax. Though, I am looking to become a 3D Artist rather than a programmer, I feel that it is important that I have some programming knowledge to an extent to be able to interlink with colleagues easier to understand what they do when they also work on a game. Though the thought of having an opportunity to work you alongside others and create and debate games and what do change within a game is an incredible thought!

Best Regards,

Mitchel Taylor
