My Action Plan

My Goal:

My life aspiration has no doubt always been to become apart of a games development team and work on the biggest titles to release to the public. In addition to owning my own indie game company to release new ideas out to the public also. I've come to the University of Portsmouth to study Computer Games Technology, as the course provides me not with either just the art side or just the technical side of game development but, it provides us students with both sides of the spectrum to be able to give us a better knowledge of what others would be doing, even if I choose to not do programming for example, I'll still have an idea on how to read C++ roughly.

My Skills:

Before arriving at university I had gained brief knowledge on how to do 3D modelling on Blender however, I had arrived with absolutely no knowledge at all on how to code or even use game development tools. However, throughout the year I have learnt how to be able to read and write C++ coding, although it has been a bit of a slow process to get my head around it. I have also picked up how to use 3DSMax fairly quickly to be able to model my artifact fairly detailed and quickly. Despite the fact that the file itself after a while had some strange corruption to it where the file would crash 9 of of 10 times which made things a bit difficult. Although, despite the drawback and unfortunate issues with the file, I now know what I can change next time for when I next model a detailed object so that it does not corrupt the file. In addition to, learning different methods on how to create detailed artifacts more effectively over Easter and Summer in my own time to improve.
